Sanda means free fight (散打) in Chinese. The history of this sport is deeply rooted in the history of martial arts. However, the sport itself is younger in relation to kickboxing. That is why many people call Wushu Sanda Chinese kickboxing. Although in fact Sanda have a very rich and ancient history, covering many styles of real martial art.
